The End of July...and School
14 Day Quarantine...
Now there's a laugh.
I'm not sure anyone is keeping track of the days, anymore.
It has been months now.
The states that have attempted to reopen have been inundated. Some have had to return to Phase One it is so bad.
The stats look like this
My County: 185 cases with 8 dead.
My State: 54,813 cases with 2,610 dead
My Country: 3,725,956 cases with 141,518 dead
The World: 14,064,938 cases with 595,093 dead
Fourteen Million...well, that escalated quickly.
Currently...7% of everyone who has Covid-19 dies.
And whereas the US released prisoners because it was not safe for them to remain imprisoned with The Rona...
They now want us to send OUR CHILDREN back to brick and mortar schools in August.
WTAF????
The SCOTUS ruled that the parents had the final say...so that is good.
But still...
A lot of stores across the nation are now saying no masks-no service.
"OUR RIGHTS!!!"

You can't fix stupid.
Trump has completely lost interest altogether...rarely mentioning the virus anymore...fighting with the experts...withdrawing from WHO...insisting that all data now go through the CDC anymore but be filtered through the WH, instead and trying to discredit Fauci...the latter which did not go over well...even within his own party.
He actually had the audacity to say if we weren't testing...well then we wouldn't find all these cases.
That we wouldn't have all these cases if we didn't test.
Hmmm...
So if we didn't test for pregnancy there would be no pregnant woman???
See how incredibly STUPID that sounds?
I think I speak for most of us when I say November 3rd (and the election) cannot come soon enough.
His approval rating now in the mid-30's.
Only this staunchest base and some family members still holding on.
And they are dwindling.
Thankfully.
E-learning may be less than optimal for some kids...but it beats the hell out of possible lifelong health damage and possible death.
Pretty sure that my yearly Saturday After Thanksgiving is cancelled at this point.
I have added one day out a week to my schedule, now. For mental health mostly. I only stay out about an hour...always with a mask and hand bac. Staying well away from others.
It isn't fail-safe, of course.
Nothing is.
But after months of quarantine...the four hours a month feels relatively safe and a bit more human/normal.
I hope that when Biden takes office (...and I say when...because I cannot think in terms of IF, okay???) that he will immediately
Return to WHO.
Let the CDC do their job unhampered.
Listen to the experts.
Formulate a coordinated plan to get all 50 States on the same page and beat this virus into submission.
