And then it was MAY...

If you don't understand the humor in the sticker...you obviously haven't been under the same quarantine as the rest of us, okay?

The rest of us know.

And are grateful for Social Distancing for olfactory reasons.

But it is May already. And The Rona has covered the US...and the Globe.

4.5 million cases worldwide. 300,000 deaths.

The only land mass with no Covid-19 is Antarctica.

Here in the US we have 1,515,311 positive cases now and 90,332 deaths.

As soon as we started flattening the curve by staying quarantined a new group of crazies arrived.

I call them the Covid Zombies.

(...I'm sure in a couple weeks they will just be referred to as patients...or possibly just The Deceased...)

They are the people who are sick of quarantine.

The "...but my RIGHTS..." People.

They refuse to wear a mask.

Want their hair and nails done.

(...do you know who also does hair and nails? Morticians...)

Want to go to concerts, restaurants, movies, bars.

Right now!!!

They gather by the hundreds...no masks...screaming...yelling...in some cases toting weapons.

"You CAN'T make us stay in."

Uh...okay.

Ya'll go out...I'll just be over here enjoying my Grubhub and Netflix and see how that works out for you guys.

Or like George Takei observed wryly

"Redshirts"

A few of the reddest states already opening back up and in one week's time seeing their numbers skyrocketing.

Yep...we have met the enemy...and he is us.

Tomorrow will be day 70 in Self-Quarantine.

The library is closed, and has been for a while.

Ergo...no new books.

The theaters are closed, and have been a long time.

Ergo...no new releases.

I have been re-reading and re-watching favorites, at this point.

There is something very post apocalyptic about all of it...think  if it were over and you only had one movie and one book left...

What would you choose?

Mine would be (the movie) Eat, Pray and Love and (book)The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck, I guess.

Not sure what that says...
